This morning I started wondering:
What would happen if I wrote about sandwiches today? On Friday. Not on Sandwich Saturday. Would the world come to an end? No, I don’t think so.*
Earlier this week, Planet Sub had one of those Facebook promotions where you had to click on the link to participate and they sent you an email with a coupon. $3.99 for any 6″ sub. The logic in my brain said “You can’t make a sandwich at home for $3.99 so you must click on this link!” Yes, I know. You probably can make a sandwich at home for $3.99 (or less) but not a really good sandwich.
So I clicked the link, got the email and went to Planet Sub. Of course I got the Super Hero, because…. duh: Salami, Pepperoni, Spicy Capicola, Provolone, Red Onions, Lettuce, Banana Peppers, Oregano, Vinegar & Oil. Who wouldn’t want that on a sandwich?
Honestly, the vinegar & oil was a little much. But all in all, it was the right price and if the world should come to an end, it was probably the right move to order a Super Hero.
*The paranoid, superstitious side of me is kind of freaking out that the world might actually come to an end if I bust out a Sandwich Saturday-esque post on a Friday. But I’m going to suck it up and see what happens. Sorry, world, if I really screwed things up by writing this.
