Aw, hell. I don’t have a current photo of a sandwich to share because I had to manually delete all the images in my iPhone this week.
Well, I’ll tell you why.
First, I’ve dropped my phone a gazillion times. I don’t like those bulky phone cases, so the dropping has resulted in quite a few cracks (and some holes!) on both the front and back of the phone. I’m pretty sure friends are embarrassed to be seen with me and my cracked, holy phone.
But, it still works. Take note of that important key feature: It still works.
Then, I was riding my bike and it started raining. Pouring rain. So much rain that I had to pull over numerous times and use my fingers on my eyelids like windshield wipers. When I eventually made it home, my phone was soaked through. Probably thanks to the holes.
I was out of rice, so I put the phone in the next best thing: a bowl of Rice Krispies cereal. That wasn’t working, so I followed the suggestion of a friend and wrapped it in foil and baked it in the oven on a very low temperature.
Hallelujah it made a difference! And then over the course of the next couple days, the phone continued to dry out (I assume, because each day a different button started working again.)
A couple weeks later and it still has some quirks. Like, I have to push that round button on the bottom of the phone over and over and over until it finally switches screens. Annoying, but it still works!!! And sometimes the sound doesn’t work. But sometimes it does!! The worst part is that I can’t upload my photos onto my laptop. And I was running out of space. So, I emailed a few important images to myself (ie: the photos of my Seeester and I from her recent visit) and then manually deleted the remaining 1,500+ images.
And that is how I ended up here, today, without a photo of a sandwich to share with you. Damn.
Thank goodness! I have something to share! Sandwich Saturday has been saved by a buffalo chicken wrap! And, to top it all off, my phone still works.
Happy Sandwich Saturday!
