According to the news today, vandals hit the Iowa State Fairgrounds and splattered the iconic butter cow with red paint. The butter cow’s sculptor was brought to the site and was able to repair the damages so the show will go on.
I’m sure she was pissed off. I would have been. Can you imagine how difficult it would be to sculpt an animal out of butter? Its hard enough slicing an even pat of butter off the stick for a piece of toast. Have you seen the movie Butter? It shows off the art of butter sculpting.
After the incident in Iowa, I would definitely tell the state fair staff that they’d butter beef up security to keep this from happening again. 🙂
